Punto Banco Rules
Baccarat is played with eight decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; dump the first ‘1′).
A 3rd card will be given out depending on the rules below:
- If the gambler or house achieves a score of eight or nine, the two players stay.
- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players stands otherwise.
- If the gambler stays, the bank takes a card on five or less. If the player hits, a guide is used to figure out if the house stays or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The bigger of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (equal money less a 5% commission. The Rake is kept track of and paid off once you leave the game so be sure to still have cash left over before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pay one to one. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than one in every 10 rounds. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on properly baccarat provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some established myths. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events yet to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.
The most common and almost certainly the most favorable method is the one, three, two, six plan. This plan is used to build up earnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by wagering one chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain six on the game table, pull off 4 so you have 2 on the third round. If you win the third round, add two on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Success on the initial 2 with a loss on the third provides you with a profit of two. And success on the first three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning all four rounds gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to give up the 2nd round 5 times for every favorable streak of four bets and still balance the books.
