Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are give a value of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely act as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five has a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given depending on the foll. practices:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, then both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie usually pays out at eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. be wary of laying money on a tie. However odds are significantly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat provides fairly good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Tracking of old results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the 1-3-two-six scheme. This schema is used to build up payouts and controlling risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
