Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are counted at face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely appear as the two hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … five will have a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, each gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are generously better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)
Played properly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of old conclusions on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-three-2-6 concept. This tactic is used to maximize profits and cutting back risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
