Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are said to be at their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply symbolize the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and five will have a total of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two gamblers stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pay out 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than one every ten hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are vastly better – 9 to one versus eight to one)
When played correctly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Staying abreast of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most common and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 technique. This method is used to pump up wins and reducing risk.
commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
