Baccarat Banque Standards
Baccarat banque is played with eight decks in a shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the first number is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus six equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the following rules:
- If the player or house achieves a value of eight or nine, both players stand.
- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players holds otherwise.
- If the player stays, the bank takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player takes a card, a chart is employed to decide if the bank stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19:20 (equal cash less a 5% rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out when you quit the game so be sure to still have cash around before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1:1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)
Gambled on correctly baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Scheme
As with all games baccarat banque has a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and likely the most accomplished strategy is the one-three-two-six tactic. This technique is employed to maximize earnings and minimizing risk.
Start by betting one chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the table, remove four so you keep two on the 3rd round. If you win the 3rd wager, add two on the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.
Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a take of two. And wins on the 1st 3 with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning at all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd bet five instances for each favorable run of four wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
