Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are worth face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just act as the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five results in a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be given depending on the foll. regulations:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two players stand.
- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie generally pays eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When played accurately, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is not a predictor of future events. Tracking of last conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This schema is employed to pump up payouts and lowering risk.
Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
