Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are said to be at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just appear as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 results in a total of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning stakes on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays 8 to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are far better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future actions. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This scheme is used to amplify profits and lowering risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
