Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are worth their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely depict the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven as well as five will have a total of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay 8 to one but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Still, odds are radically better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played accurately, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Keeping track of last results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six concept. This method is deployed to build up payouts and controlling risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
