Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are give a value of face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely portray the two hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven and five has a score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card can be played depending on the following rules:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Played properly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future results.
