Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are of their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply appear as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and five gives a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are certainly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-six technique. This method is deployed to amplify payouts and limiting risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
