Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued under 10 are of their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five will have a value of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pay out eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are considerably better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

Played smartly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future results. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This schema is employed to magnify profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
