Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under 10 are said to be at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … 5 results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, each players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie generally pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Regardless odds are positively better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Monitoring of prior outcomes on a chart is for sure a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful tactic is the one-three-two-6 method. This process is employed to increase payouts and minimizing risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
