Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than ten are of their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely act as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 will have a total score of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at eight to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are supremely better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of old outcomes on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-six concept. This scheme is employed to maximize payouts and lowering risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
