Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely represent the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 produces a score of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are considerably better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

When done smartly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six concept. This schema is used to build up successes and minimizing risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
