Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under ten are give a value of face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven and five will have a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, each bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays eight to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Nonetheless odds are considerably better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)
Played correctly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Tracking of prior outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-6 scheme. This tactic is used to increase successes and reducing risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
