Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are give a value of their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely depict the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 and five has a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be played depending on the following practices:

- If the player or banker has a total score of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. However odds are decidedly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of last conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 scheme. This schema is used to pump up payout and lowering risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
