Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are said to be worth their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply depict the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as 5 has a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are actually better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-three-2-six technique. This scheme is employed to maximize successes and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
