Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are said to be at their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 gives a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given out depending on the following standards:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are richly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

Played effectively, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of old results on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 scheme. This schema is deployed to pump up wins and limiting risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
