Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are of their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they just act as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 has a total of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pay out eight to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are remarkably better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Staying abreast of last results on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six method. This schema is deployed to maximize winnings and limiting risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
